Pork & Shrimp Fried Rice

Easy fried rice with pork and shrimp! Can be served as a side dish or meal!

Ingredients

    Directions

    Step1

Make jasmine rice according to directions on the package. Refrigerate rice for a couple hours or even overnight. Using chilled rice helps the texture so the rice doesn't become too sticky or gummy.

    Step2

Make sauce. In a small bowl, combine: ginger paste, oyster sauce, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, minced garlic, sugar and salt. Stir and set aside.

    Step3

Slice pork into thin strips. In a large skillet on medium heat, drizzle some sesame oil. Cook pork until golden. Next finely chop pork into pieces.

    Step4

In the same pan used to cook pork, cook bacon until golden. Set aside. Don't wipe skillet, use the bacon grease to fry shrimp.

    Step5

Cut shrimp into bitesize pieces and sauté for a few minutes on each side. Then set aside.

    Step6

In the same skillet, sauté thinly sliced green onions. Scramble 3 eggs with 1/8 teaspoon of pepper and add them in with the onions.

    Step7

Next add everything back into the skillet including rice and stir-fry on medium high heat. Then add in the sauce, stir-fry until everything is combined.

    Step8

    Plate rice and serve. Enjoy!
